An exciting sport   (Eduard Antonov)

There many sports in my country, but my favorite is football. It`s very popular all over the world. It`s a difficult sport, but it`s an exciting sport too. It`s a team sport.

To play football you`ll need a football, football boots, long socks, and some other things to protect your legs. You`ll also need a special uniform with your surname, number and with a logo of your club. You need football boots to hit the football in the other team`s net or to pass it to your team-mates. You need long socks to protect your legs from being hurt.

If the football gets in the other team`s net, you score a goal. If the football gets in your net, the other team scores a goal. There`re 22 players in each team. There`re: 2 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 6 midfielders and 6 forwards, but only 11 players play in a game. They`re: 1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 3 midfielders and 3 forwards. A match consists of 2 halves. Each half lasts for 45 minutes. There can also be 2 extra times. Each extra time lasts for 15 minutes. There`s also a break that lasts for 15 minutes.

I only play football in summer but I enjoy watching it. My favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo. He plays in my favorite club Real Madrid. So football is a very interesting game so play and enjoy watching football
